Homemade Crusty Pizza

Hot Salami Pizza Recipe (Crispy Dough Pizza)

Adapted from: Masterchef Australia

Pizza base (makes 4 bases)15
dried yeast20g caster sugar10g salt (I reduced the amount from 20g)
250g lukewarm water
1 tbs olive oil
425g (approx 3 cups) bakers grade plain flour
Pizza sauce
400g can chopped tomatoes
Pinch dried oregano
Pinch salt & freshly ground black peppr

Topping (for 1 pizza)-
optional3 tsp finely chopped flat leaf parsley
1/3 cup freshly grated mozzarella
45g thinly sliced hot salami
4 cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 (about 125g) buffalo mozzarella
6 large mint leaves

1. For the pizza base, Combine yeast, sugar, salt, water and oil in a bowl, whisk to combine. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes until bubbles start to appear on surface. Transfer to a large bowl, add the flour and bring together in the bowl with your hands.
2. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place into a bowl, cover and stand in a warm place until doubles in size. – (I sometimes prepared the dough at night and kept it rising in fridge overnight)
3. For the pizza sauce, Tip tomatoes into a frying pan, add oregano, salt and pepper and cook 10 minutes until sauce thickens. Set aside to cool then blend or process until smooth.
4. Place pizza stone (I used metal pizza pan) into the oven and preheat oven and stone to 250 degrees celsius fan forced for about 30 minutes.
5. Knock the dough down. Using 180g (about one-quarter) dough for 1 pizza, knead on a floured surface until smooth. Roll out until 5mm thick. Place dough onto the very hot pizza stone/pizza pan. Spoon over about 2 tbs pizza sauce then sprinkle with parsley and mozzarella. Top with salami and cherry tomatoes. Cook 8-10 minutes or until base is golden and crisp.
6. Tear the buffalo mozzarella and scatter over the pizza, top with mint leaves and serve.

Hari tuh ajak ibu makan kat Homst Kota Damansara [Chinese Muslim cuisine]. Makan lauk nasi campur yang paling aku suka. Sedap dan Murah. Ayam Masak Thai. Haaa, terdiam sume orang time makan. Memang sedap. Sambil makan, aku cakap dengan ibu, kita nak makan sini selalu... jauh. So aku and ibu pon teka2 apa dia pakai nak masuk lauk ayam tuh. Yeah, aku rasa bau daun ketumbar yang buat ia lain dari yang lain. So hari Isnin ritu, aku pon cube masak, berdasarkan deria rasa yg aku teka2. Haha.

cara buat sos:

20 biji perahan limau kasturi - ibu kate org putih takda limau nipis tuh die gune lemon. haha

10 biji cili padi atau lebih

garam secukup rasa

daun ketumbar 2-3 sikit [jgn byak sgt sbb nt nk letak lagi]

-blend semua-

-tak guna sos ikan pun-

pastu tumis bwg putih

pastu masukkan yg dah blend tadi

masuk gula 2-3 sudu besar [tgok byak mana kuah, agak2, sbb patot rasa masam manis pedas]

tambah air+pati ikan bilis suku kiub << yg ni sy memandai je

padam api

letak daun ketumbar lagi

ayam:

beli tepung ayam kfc tu

goreng [jgn garing sgt]

dah siap goreng

letak ayam dlm mangkuk

Hong Kong Trip; Disneyland Hong Kong

hehe..

Before pergi jauh, lupa nk bagi tahu dlm entry before nih yg actually me + 2 lecturers + 3 students traveled around HK only for a day! Bertolak dr Shenzhen 7am, dihantar oleh driver ke FuTian Custom dan balik Mainland tepat-tepat 12 malam. Penat tapi puas hati coz I actually spent not more that RM150 there [290 Yuan = 300 HKD]

Travel to most hotspot in HK with RM150, how we did it? Haha..keep reading my travel blog!

Hong Kong Disneyland located on an island (apa ntah nama nyer)... so ia jauh dari central of HK. Dari Lok Ma Cau Custom, kami naik MTR ke Sheng Shui. Sebab start dari Sheng Shui sahaja kami boleh beli and guna tourist package [merayau 1 hari dgn 1 MTR tiket] for RM26 only. Kalau nak tahu, beli tourist package ni dpt baucar shopping RM50 taw! Best gilerr...macam tak bayar apa-apa pun utk kad MTR tuh kan?

Dari Sheng Shui kami kena interchange 3 kali and perjalanan ambil masa around 84minit!!!

Menariknya, bila sampai interchange ke Disneyland, ada MTR khas utk ke sana. MTR itu sgt cute coz d window btuk mickey mouse and even every single thing inside it is mickey world. Mcm pengembaraan bersama Mickey plak perasaannya.

Baru naik MTR ke Disney dah dihiasi dunia kartun, sampai kat train station die pon semua ada Mickey Mouse! Pagar, kerusi tiang...lallalal..semua mickey. Eii belum masuk taman tema lagi!!!

Okay, to be honest kami sekadar melepak dan merayau-rayau di luar Disneyland [kesian] Sebab harga tiket HKD350 [RM150]. Lepastu bila check dlm laman web, Disney HK bukan mcm Disney kat US or Jepun yg ada thrill punye games, Disney HK more to fairytale and of course the guy tak nak masuk.. huhu! Lagipun kita org cuma ada di HK 1 hari, kalo masuk disneyland, x sempat lah g tempat lain [aceceh, byk alasan kn]

So kami merayau dalam 45 minit, ambil gambar kat luar Disney.

Hong Kong : Sy tak pernah menjejak luar negara melainkan bumi shenzhen, hong kong dan macau. I will put HK as my number 1 favourite destination. Memang best!

I plan going to HK when i was in Shenzhen, crossing the border of Lok Ma Chau. Quite easy sbb masuk HK ibarat tak jejak tanah, naik MTR tak henti-henti. Rasanya kalau enter HK from airport pun sama juga kot feeling nyer and most importantly HK is tourist friendly sebab everywhere ada translation in english!

Untuk first time traveller, dinasihatkan buat banyak research, plan betul-betul, weather semua penting! Sebab around Jun till August takut ada typhoon or tropical storms!

I have experienced typhoon level 11 in Shenzhen, even my auntie pernah rasa typhoon effect in Macau. Kalau typhoon ni semua kedai tutup sbb pekerja tak boleh datang kerja. So, kita yg tourist nganga je karang. My auntie dah experience and sgt merugikan.

Lepastuh, boleh try baca peta MTR since I bet korang akan guna MTR juga! Murah!

MTR Journey Planner

I suggest korang guna tourist day pass package kalau ur holiday not more than 14 days. Cost around 55 HKD/day tapi amat berbaloi since korang akan sentiasa ulang-alik in HK. Kalau beli tiket single destination, bankrupt jugak lah kalau korg kaki merayau mcm sy pergi ritu. Lepastuh cepat, tak payah beratur nk beli tiket MTR. Ala-ala touch n go gituu...rujuk sini..yg plg best time kami, dapat baucar shopping rm50, tiket harga tak sampai rm30 pon!

MTR package for Tourist

Another tips utk kita yg tak pernah dapat bayangkan HK tuh mcm mana, bolehla usha The Big Bus Company. Ini tour by bus but since kos sgt mahal, korg boleh tgok location bus nih stop. Tmpt yg bus nih lalu and stop, adalah tourist spot. So pergi sendiri naik MTR. Jimat duit!

di atas permintaan zul, saya tujukkan sikit landmark di hua chang bei, shenzhen china. utk pengetahuan semua, tempat ini plg popular utk beli brg2 elektrik or komponen2 elektrik termurah di dunia [ye ye je aku ni] tp mmg sure murah, pada masa yg sama, be alert coz banyak brg kat sini ciplak, nak ori, local ppl kata lebih selamat beli kat hong kong.

dari window of the world [shi jie shi chuang], ambil MRT turun kat sini. tempat nih dibanjiri dgn orang setiap sama. beware of picpocket dan orang2 di jalanan yg menjual brg elektronik spt HP laptop mahupun iphone di jalanan. never sibuk2 tanya apa dia jual, nanti dia kejar u sampai u terpaksa beli.

pengalaman membeli belah kat sini agak memuaskan. kalau dekat plaza shah alam, beli ipod shuffle tiruan tuh harga mencecah rm129 rite? kat sini rm 20 shj. saya ada beli 4 dan sehingga sekarang masih boleh guna. ok what? cume kena tukar earphone sbb earphone free dia kasi bunyi tak best :D.

madam lee ada beli MP5, rm 100 ajer. best, 2 gig , tgok video pon best. Selain tuh madam beli frame digital. pon murah, rm 150 tp dah dapat size giga besar. Kalau kat low yat gerenti kena byr rm500 eventhough made in china gakz. En Azlan ada beli walkie talkie. For sure sangatlah murah.

Kualiti mmg amat dititik beratkan. Terima kasih kepada JEven and the gang yang banyak tolong kami masa beli barang. KAlau tak ada local ppl gerenti kena tipu jugakz

handbag, gelang sume ader. tapi tak digalakkan beli kat hua qang bei. kat Dong Men [ MTR > Lao Jie] lagi murah. Anggaran sepasang dalam rm 7 - rm 20 sahaja. dekat uptown sure2 kena rm 50 kan? disebabkan crocs, ramai memarahi aku kerana tak beli banyak. maka dgn itu, cik anne memaksa aku mengumpul duit menemani dia beli crocs satu gerobok di shenzhen kelak :D.

Fish Ball Curry HK

abaikan muke ak yg comot tuh, tgok fishball yg dah colour curry tuh ;P

Madam Lee yang suggest aku makan Curry Fishball yg dijual kat Mong Kok street di Hong Kong. Perghhh, dah lah masa makan tuh hujan, makan benda panas and pedas…mantap seh! Memang tak sama lah rasa curry fishball kat Shenzhen. The best is in HK.

Al-kisahnya ia cuma fishball yg telah direndam dalam curry berjam-jam. Kari nya pedas, mcm tambah black paper pon ader. Sampai fishball tu pon dah colour curry. Tengok macam tak menarik tapi bila rasa, mmg nikmat. Hehe.

Kiranya kat Msia pon leh buat. Rendam lah fishball dlm curry mendidih lama2, jadi lah kot. Hehe. Ingat, mesti pedas sampai hidung pun tersedu-sedu taw….haha!~

PS: kalau nak makan ni kat HK, untuk umat Islam jgn lupa tanya ramuan kari tuh apa, pakai minyak apa…okay? Jgn main bedal ajer... Kalau boleh study Cantonse dulu, hihi! (kalu xnak kena tipu!)

Memang lain dari yang lain. Cair di dalam mulut, haha! Tak sama rasanya dengan egg tart kat Kings tuh. Harga dalam MOP 7.50-12 = RM3-6 sebiji. Dia punya puff kat tepi tuh memang halus lah, macam buat selapis-selapis. Pastuh, telur kat tengah tuh, perghh tak taw nak kata apa :D Kalau berpeluang ke Macau, Portugese egg tart ada dijual merata-rata, ikutlah selera nak makan kat kedai mana…hehe~

La Mian, Shenzhen Islam Restaurant

Waa, almost 4 month I don’t update this blog! Maybe poket kering, tak ada modal nak pi makan n tulis apa-apa ( haha! ) Anyway I’m back and definitely bukan dgn perut kosong ( haha!) For the last 2 month, I’ve been hustling with my Industrial Practical Training in Shenzhen, China. I had an oppurtinity to visit Hong Kong too. I took this chance to eat their local food (yg halal of coz)

Here we go, kita kasi perut krak kruk…haha ;p

The most mouth watering local & halal food in Shenzhen adalah La Mian = Mi tarik.

Ada banyak kedai La Mian tapi yg plg mantap kat Hua Qang Bei. Even Chinese ppl yg x cari halal food pon suka makan kat sini.

First 2 times datang sini, ak makan Niu Ro La Mian ( Mi tarik daging lembu ), memang sedap sampai licin mangkuk. Kalau datang Hua Chang Bei tapi tak makan La Mian sini memang balik termimpi-mimpilah.

Rasanya macam mi sup. Tapi yg specialnya, noodle dia mmg fresh lah. Kita order baru dorang uli tepung noodle tuh. Digelar mi tarik sebab masa adunkan tepung ni, ia ditarik-tarik supaya dapat mi yg halus dan panjang. Sekejap je uli, pastu celur dalam sup. Pastu masuk dalam mangkuk berisi sup. Daging Lembu dihiris halus ( Jgn expect dapat daging tebal2 sebab daging halal susah nak cari ) Kalau nak pedas tambah cili, memang meletup lah! 5 bintang!

mcm mee sup pon ade gak tp mi sup pakai mi kuning...x asli,hehe.

Kalau aku datang sini, gerenti tauke kasi air pepsi free. Kalau nak diikutkan, chinese tak minum air masa makan, dorang prefer minum sup bg menggantikan air masak.

Resepi La mian? Aihh, xada skill lah nak menarik tepung jadi noodle :D

first time makan itik...kat sini lah.

mula-mula, ingat nak makan duck confit...tengok harga, mak aii..mahal seh!
so, ambikla duck red curry with lychee. lychee? Mula-mula, aku pun was-was...kari dan laici, tapi bila makan fuh sedap seh. lychee panas-panas dengan curry! anyway rasa itik tu macam rasa daging itik. hehe! tender habis seh. tapi kata mak aku, hanyir tapi aku rasa ok aja.santan dalam curry tuh byk n pekat so x mcm kari mak aku selalu masak. yg menambah kan peliknya, side dish nyer isi buah bali dengan sambal kot, pelik tapi mmg yg ini aku habis dulu. sedap seh!

anyway aku kasi 3 bintang setengah cos makanan yg sedap dan ambience yang mendamaikan. bintang 3 aje sebab adik aku dapat spaghetti die bile suma orang dah kenyang makan n atok aku mintak tambah plain rice, 3 kali mintak kat waiter tapi tak hantar-hantar. nasib baik waiter yg terakhir tuh alert sikit, cepat2 hantar. aku maafkan sebab lunch hour mmg kelam kabut. tapi, tak moleklah restoran glamour mcm tu kan? mybe terjadi kat aku dan keluarga aku ajer kot. huhu!

papepun, makanan beraneka jenis, menarik dan lain dari yg lain. mahal sikit tapi kenyang coz portion banyak, boleh share up to 3 person kalo order spaghetti or pasta.

Homemade PaNcaKe

Malas nak cerita pepanjang. Pancake nih gila sedap!!! Angah kata aku makan macam mesin. Kalau auntie aku, dia letak topping buah-buahan macam strawberry, kiwi n pic. Budget kita orang biasa aja, taruk coklat masak or makan dengan sambal udang saja (Haha! Melayu habis!)

NAK CUBA? Nih resepinya. Senang ajer..

Ingredients
• 1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup milk
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, or vegetable oil
• 1 large egg
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• Assorted toppings, such as butter, maple syrup, confectioners' sugar, honey, jams, preserves, sweetened whipped cream, or chocolate syrup
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees; have a baking sheet or heatproof platter ready to keep cooked pancakes warm in the oven. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, butter (or oil), and egg. Add dry ingredients to milk mixture; whisk until just moistened (do not overmix; a few small lumps are fine).
3. Heat a large skillet (nonstick or cast-iron) or griddle over medium. Fold a sheet of paper towel in half, and moisten with oil; carefully rub skillet with oiled paper towel.
4. For each pancake, spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter onto skillet, using the back of the spoon to spread batter into a round (you should be able to fit 2 to 3 in a large skillet).
5. Cook until surface of pancakes have some bubbles and a few have burst, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip carefully with a thin spatula, and cook until browned on the underside, 1 to 2 minutes more. Transfer to a baking sheet or platter; cover loosely with aluminum foil, and keep warm in oven. Continue with more oil and remaining batter. (You'll have 12 to 15 pancakes.) Serve warm, with desired toppings

Ready to feasT?!

I had my birthday dinner here before. Thanks to my auntie! Eventhough the celebration was two days before the my real big day, but it is totally awesome! I still remembered how much I love the korean pancakes and kimchi there!! I even had more than 3 serve of kimchi, it taste great! The second time I dine here was the day before Kak Ani left to Indonesia. It was my last time. The bbq set is quite good but not good enough for me ( the beef quite liat-lah, huhu! ) My sister going to Korea and I bet she is going to taste the real korean food...Waa, jangan lupa aku kat sini!!!! Haha!

TOFU??!!

Kalau kalian nak tahu, tofu merupakan salah satu makanan utama untuk kawan-kawan kita yang vegetarian selepas sayur-sayuran. Nak dijadikan cerita, ada satu hari tu, dapatlah saya makan makanan vegetarian kat NaturaL @ Telawi 3, Bangsar. First time...

Sedap seh! Ingat kari daging, rupanya saya makan tepung yang di adun bentuk daging! Tekstur pun sebijik macam daging, pelik betul lah..tofu potong nipis-nipis, macam steam fish pula!

Pape pun yg paling best makan Yee Sang !!! Banyak juga dishes hari tu sampai lupa pula. Anyway I'm having a good time... Wishing this coming Chinesse New Year bring Prosperity to everyone that night! Chiayok!

This is totally one of my sinful addict! I tasted dunkin donut, big apple and so on but I feel that they can't beat J.Co Donuts. Everytime I went to bought some donuts here, I will always trapped in along queue. I cant stand with a long queue at the plaza tol or at the ATM machines, but I totally can wait for this. I also love the Ice Queen (if I'm not mistaken). I didn't have picture of it but it is mouth-watering one! I give 5 stars for their Alcapone. Definitely a must-have! The price are reasonable, cheaper from dunkin if I'm not wrong-lah.. They got discount too if you're buying 2 dozens.Get in queue at Sunway Pyramid (Ground floor near to the Jusco Market) and The Gardens.

Pak Li's Kopitiam @ S18

My lecturer actually did introduced me with this cool kopitiam. On that time, I tasted Assam Laksa. I think they use sardine from the cans to make this so it is totally not my fave at all. Anyway, since my sister live near to this kopitiam, it became my family best lepak area. Haha! The price really really reasonable. The deco is very warm and it feels like Im in the middle of Ipoh. It have free wifi too (that why it is my sis & I fave hang out!).

Below are my most time favourite (of course the assam laksa is OUT of the list):

Seriously that this is not my first time writing bout this fantastic Spannish food. It always my fave coz the foods are served hot and in a large portion where I can share with my whole family. The price quite reasonable. I think with RM50, I can have a good lunch with all of my sisters (of course lah we have to SHARE). The beverages can be refill as much as you want, really!
